Cork is a good sealing material due to its impermeability and elasticity. Listed below are the main characteristics that make cork such a popular choice in washers, gaskets, battens and insulation.

In addition, our cork products can be combined with numerous synthetic rubber compounds to enhance the sealing properties provided by the cork itself. Cork can be combined with rubber compounds such as neoprene or nitrile for even greater possibilities.

Some grades may offer greater resistance to liquids as well as to high temperatures. The different grades of cork we offer are listed below.

Types – cork seals:

CC2040 – nitrile bonded plug

It is a durable rubber cork material suitable for medium screw pressure with good flexibility and resilience. Physical properties together with good resistance to fuel and oil make it a highly qualified material for automotive and industrial gaskets (gas meter).

CC2020 neoprene/nitrile stopper

An excellent general purpose sealing material, its strength and good compressibility properties make it highly satisfactory in a very wide range of applications. The material has very low swelling in oils and fuels, making it particularly suitable for transformer applications.

Cork with neoprene adhesive CC2015

It is a heavy-duty neoprene material suitable for high/medium screw pressure, with good flexibility and resilience. Physical properties together with good resistance to fuels, solvents and oils make it a highly qualified material for industrial and transformer gaskets.
