Felt

VERMET produces felt gaskets in the following types of felt: natural and synthetic.

Our felt gaskets can be supplied in a wide range of types and thicknesses depending on their application.

Properties – felt seals:

The various types of felt products offered are divided into very soft ones, and others are durable enough to form building materials. Felt is most often found in white and black colors.

We offer felt gaskets with a special self-adhesive backing, which facilitates installation and makes the felt gasket stay in place.

Felt seals are widely used, from the automotive industry to musical instruments, which is why felt seals can be used in almost every industry.

Felt is heavily used in the construction industry, also often used as a shock absorber in the automotive industry as it dampens rattling between certain components.

Felt gaskets – types:

Wool felt (natural) – seals made of natural felt

This material contains 97% wool felt, 3% other natural felt fibers and is available in various thicknesses and densities depending on the application.

Wool felt is typically used where a specific application requires a high level of compression and flexibility as well as aging and wear resistance, high absorbency and low abrasion.

Medium density wool felt

It is the most frequently chosen by the majority of our customers and is used for most gaskets.

High density wool felt

It is suitable for use in the production of polishing gaskets.

Felt sheets

Our offer includes seals made of felt foil in all the above-mentioned types of materials. VERMET supplies a wide range of commercial and industrial sectors, e.g. construction organizations, automotive companies and private individuals with the highest quality gaskets.

Synthetic felt (technical) – seals made of synthetic felt

Technical felt is made of a multi-colored synthetic fibers, which is why this material is very durable and inexpensive, making it an economical solution in many industries.
Its basic feature is resistance to mechanical damage and increased temperature up to 150 degrees C.
It also has high tensile and abrasion resistance.

As a standard, it is available in a thickness of 2.5mm to 3mm and with a surface weight of 450-500g/m2.
